Guatemala Piedra Azul is a specialty coffee from the La Libertad region in Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Cultivated at elevations between 1,500 and 1,800 meters above sea level, this coffee comprises Caturra and Bourbon varietals. The farm, managed by the Vides Family since 2016, employs meticulous washed processing methods to ensure high-quality beans.

In the cup, Piedra Azul offers a sweet and rounded profile with tasting notes of orange, caramel, and milk chocolate. It presents a clean and sweet taste with low acidity and a medium, persistent body, making it a balanced and complex choice for daily enjoyment.

The washed processing method involves depulping the cherries to remove the majority of skin and fruit from the bean, followed by a brief fermentation to eliminate any remaining material and add complexity. The beans are then washed and dried until the desired moisture level is achieved.

Piedra Azul is not only a testament to quality coffee production but also reflects a commitment to social and environmental responsibility. The farm supports four community schools, provides scholarships for coffee specialization, and manages several tree-planting projects.
