About the coffee | In the state of São Paulo, within the coffee-producing hubs of Franca, Pedregulho and Altinópolis, the region of Alta Mogiana distinguishes itself through its rich tradition in coffee cultivation.
Situated in Altinópolis, Fazenda Nove de Julho has been committed to innovation and quality since its establishment in the 1960s. The family’s coffee legacy began with Graziela’s maternal grandmother, Diva, who laid the foundation for prosperity, continued by her daughter Vera and son-in-law João Roberto. Today, the third generation—Graziela, Patricia, and Augusto—unites to drive the family’s legacy forward.
The 150-hectare farm cultivates various coffee varieties like Arara, Catuaí, Catucaí, IPR 100, IPR 107, Mundo Novo and Paraíso MG2. The coffee undergoes meticulous washing, cleaning and separation based on ripeness and density, ensuring uniformity and consistency.
The drying period varies, contingent upon the ripeness of the cherries. Some batches undergo 100% patio drying, while for others, rotary dryers are used to complete the process. Throughout this phase, humidity levels are closely monitored.
Beyond coffee, the family cultivates avocados and corn as a supplementary income source and for personal consumption. Additionally, 45 hectares are dedicated to a preserved native forest, supporting a balanced ecosystem for coffee production. The farm is also Rainforest Alliance-certified.
